1.0 Permanent Indigenous Adult Education Day Program Teacher

The NNDSB invites applications for the following permanent position commencing as soon as possible:

Niizhwaas Asiniik Skoonweh Kahn (Seven Stones Learning Centre) offers the Alternative Secondary School Program (ASSP). This is a program delivered in partnership with the North Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre (NBIFC) and the Near North District School Board (NNDSB) that addresses the needs of urban Indigenous Students by supporting them in the completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), and preparing them for workplace readiness, skills development, and training, or for transitions to mainstream high schools or post‑secondary education institutions. Students enrolled in the program are adult aged students, and attend classes in a dedicated classroom within the NBIFC or alternative location, with a qualified teacher from the board.
