Role Description
Reporting to the Director of Finance, Administration, and IT, the Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of accounts receivable and payable, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting financial reporting. This role also contributes to the preparation of draft financial statements, particularly not-for-profit reporting.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting, Budgeting and Year-EndAssist with year-end preparation and audit.Prepare or assist with draft financial statements, for not-for-profit reporting.Prepare monthly HST remittance and backup documentation for review.Reconcile GL accounts. Identify and resolve discrepancies.Reconcile bank statements.Support the ongoing development and efficiencies of systems and processes.Accounts ReceivablePeer-review bank deposits.Ensure collections of billings are kept up to date.
