Role Description
Teach AN242: Race, Ethnicity and Nationalism at Wilfrid Laurier University this Fall 2026. Engage students in meaningful discussions about societal structures and their impacts during this in-person lecture.
Classes will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-6:50 PM, accommodating an anticipated class size of 70 students. Seeking applicants with a Master’s degree or PhD in Sociocultural Anthropology or Ethnic/Race Studies, focusing on sociocultural processes critical to understanding ethnic dynamics and identity formation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead dynamic lectures on race and nationalism principles
• Stimulate critical discussions around pressing societal issues
• Design and grade assessments for student evaluation
• Foster a rich learning environment for diverse backgrounds
• Detail links between identity and citizenship matters
