Role Description
Embark on an outdoor adventure as an Assistant Kayak Guide with Spirit of the West in British Columbia. This part-time seasonal role offers an engaging way to guide and educate guests from May to September.
You will play an important role in facilitating kayak instruction, managing groups on the water, and ensuring an enjoyable experience for visitors. Your responsibilities include conducting safety checks, maintaining hygiene standards, and sharing insights about the local wilderness. You will work closely with the Lead Guide and contribute to team efforts in camp management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach kayaking techniques and oversee guest activities
• Ensure safety of equipment before kayaking trips
• Provide assistance and first aid as required
• Remain informed about local wildlife and ecology
• Collaborate on maintaining clean camp and gear
