Role Description
Shape the future of education at Mount Royal University by leading Decolonization Initiatives as the Associate Vice President. Cultivate an inclusive environment for Indigenous students and staff.
As the AVP, you will spearhead the university's strategic efforts in indigenization and decolonization, reporting directly to the Provost and Vice-President, Academic. This role requires a minimum of a Master’s degree and a passion for creating a thriving community that acknowledges and respects Indigenous cultures and traditions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies for advancing indigenization and decolonization
• Facilitate the integration of Indigenous knowledge into programs
• Ensure meaningful engagement with Indigenous communities
• Oversee the Office of Indigenization and Decolonization
• Collaborate with external partners such as the Students’ Association
