CALL FOR BOARD TREASURER
The Hope in Shadows Society (Megaphone) is seeking a Board Treasurer to help steward the financial health of our organization. This is a volunteer role on our governance Board of Directors, as the day‑to‑day financial management is overseen by the Executive Director. This role is ideal for a professional who wants to put their financial expertise to work in service of a grassroots, community‑driven organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Director on financial planning and decision‑making
- Review and present financial statements and budgets at board meetings and the AGM
- Ensure the organization maintains appropriate financial controls and complies with relevant reporting requirements
- Liaise with the external bookkeeper or accountant, as needed
