Tier 1 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Mass Spectrometry ‘Omics for Novel Therapeutics.

Appointment

Full‑time tenured joint appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and the Department of Chemistry. The candidate may obtain cross appointments in other relevant departments upon request.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an independent research program in mass spectrometry ‘omics focused on novel therapeutics.
• Acquire, set up, and maintain shared instrumentation for metabolomics, proteomics, lipidomics, and other related areas.
• Assume leadership of the shared Mass Spectrometry infrastructure in the BioCore.
• Mentor junior faculty and graduate students in mass spectrometry ‘omics research.
