Empower women in trades as a Career Advisor with YWCA BC's Higher Ground Program. Support participants through coaching, resume building, and actionable career planning.
This role involves providing key guidance to women facing challenges in a male-dominated industry. As a Career Advisor, you will coach women on job readiness, facilitate dynamic workshops, and help create personalized action plans. Your focus will be on connecting participants with resources necessary to overcome barriers and thrive in their chosen careers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coach participants on job readiness and employability
• Facilitate effective workshops in diverse learning formats
• Support the development of resumes, cover letters, and job strategies
• Create personalized action plans with measurable goals
• Provide regular updates on participant achievements
Requirements:
• Passion for supporting women entering trades
• Relevant education or applicable experience required
