Drive strategic procurement initiatives as the Purchasing & Risk Management Officer for the City. Balance compliance with risk management to optimize procurement outcomes.
Reporting directly to the Financial Services Manager, this full-time role involves the development and governance of the City's procurement practices. You will engage in identifying risks and implementing compliance with policies and trade agreements, all contributing to community impact and partnership building.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop and govern the City's procurement practices • Ensure adherence to policies, bylaws, and legislation • Identify and assess risks in procurement processes • Manage the risk governance framework effectively • Lead complex public procurement projects with best practices
