Position Summary
The Community Worker supports community engagement, advocacy initiatives, food security and Community Kitchen programming, outreach, and general administrative operations. This role is ideal for a student with a strong interest in community development, advocacy, research, program implementation and promotion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides support within the Stops Advocacy Drop In setting. Assist Community Members with completing necessary government forms such as Housing, CPP, Disability, Immigration etc.
- Conducts participatory survey with community members to gather input for advocacy priorities.
- Research government programs, community trends, and policy changes that may impact residents.
