Technical Scope
Transmissions (assembly, casting, machining, forging, grinding, mechanics)
Drivelines (axles, transfer case, assembly, machining, forging)
Internal Combustion Engines (engine block, cylinder head, oil pan, casting)
Key Responsibilities (Costing & Estimation)
Develop should-cost models for propulsion components and assemblies
Perform bottom-up cost breakdowns (BOM, materials, labor, overhead, tooling, capex)
Analyze manufacturing processes (casting, machining, forging, assembly) to estimate cost drivers
Conduct RFQ analysis & supplier quotation validation
Benchmark costs using historical data, market intelligence, and design assumptions
