Join Agnico Eagle as a Senior Accountant specializing in cost management within mining operations. Drive analysis, reporting, and compliance while working in a supportive finance team.
In this role, you will report to the Assistant Mine Controller and play a key part in the Finance Department. You’ll lead month-end close processes, assist with capital expenditures, and enforce compliance with accounting standards. Your analytical skills will help in monitoring production costs and implementing plans for cost reductions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support month-end and year-end financial closes
• Monitor and analyze production costs including labor and materials
• Establish cost control programs and track performance metrics
• Review economic justifications for capital expenditures
• Document and enhance internal controls under SOX
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or related diploma in Finance
• CPA designation mandatory
