Role Description
The shíshálh Nation is seeking a Cultural Museum Assistant to engage visitors and support cultural programming in British Columbia. This full-time position focuses on education, community events, and proper material organization.
As the Museum Assistant, you'll work within the Stewardship and Territorial Land Management Division under the supervision of the Protector of Culture. You will lead tours that educate the public about shíshálh heritage while assisting in the coordination of events celebrating cultural traditions and history.
Key Responsibilities:
• Educate visitors through engaging museum tours
• Maintain order and cleanliness of museum exhibits
• Help organize significant community celebration days
• Assist in events for Elders and cultural ceremonies
• Archive important documents and artifacts as required
