Responsibilities

• The Cultural/Recreation Worker acts as a primary Cultural and Recreational resource to the organization, promoting development, integration, delivery and enhancement of recreational activities and programs in the communities served.
• Promote, develop, integrate, deliver and enhance Cree culture to the communities served.
• Ensure relationships are established and maintained, liaise within communities served.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, and report on programming in accordance with funding agreements, identified work plans and organizational plans and priorities.
• Facilitate preservation and promotion of traditional practices and enhance positive strong cultural identity.
• Plan, organize and coordinate cultural workshops, programming, activities, teachings, ceremonies and healing practices for clients and agency staff.
