Canada Post is looking for an on-call Post Office Assistant in Dawson City, Yukon. Use your customer service skills to aid in postal transactions and mail processing.
This role involves interacting with the community while providing key postal services. You will be responsible for sorting mail, selling products, and addressing any customer issues. Ideal candidates are physically capable and ready to adapt to the on-call work schedule as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sell postal products to customers and businesses
• Sort and process incoming mail accurately
• Provide forms and necessary information to customers
• Quickly resolve delivery and service-related difficulties
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in retail or service settings required
• Knowledge of basic accounting systems a plus
• Ability to lift and sort mail containers weighing up to 50 lbs
• Must be flexible for temporary, on-call assignments
