About the Company
Forge Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join a diverse law firm based in Downtown Toronto. This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm that has a Collegial and supportive team environment.
About the Role
- Maintain and manage accurate and organized debt collection files from initial demand through to resolution
- Prepare and file Small Claims Court documents (claims, defences, motions, etc.)
- Communicate with clients, debtors, and third parties in a professional manner
- Draft correspondence and legal documents with attention to detail and accuracy
- Attend court or tribunals as required
- Track deadlines and ensure timely progression of files
- Extremely efficient and adept organizational skills to manage simultaneous tasks effectively
- Negotiate settlements where appropriate
