Role Description
Become the Director of the Great Lakes Regional Office at the International Joint Commission, located in Windsor, Ontario. This position requires comprehensive management of scientific programs and financial resources while engaging with key stakeholders.
The Director will efficiently oversee the GLRO's operations, ensuring adherence to the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement. You will be responsible for budget development, staffing, and maintaining compliance with both Canadian and U.S. laws. Your leadership will be critical in facilitating partnerships with governments and public entities, reinforcing the office’s objectives and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct the GLRO’s scientific and technical initiatives
• Draft and manage the office budget effectively
• Ensure compliance with North American environmental laws
• Manage professional staff and resources within the office
• Act as senior liaison to engage stakeholders and the public
