Disability Payment Specialist

Reporting to the Disability Benefits Payment Specialist, the Disability Analyst is responsible for reviewing and setting up new disability and life waiver claims, verifying members’ eligibility, calculating disability benefits, and processing payments. They are also the primary contact with School Boards and responsible for addressing Member enquiries about the LTD claim status and policy provisions.

What You’ll Do

• Determine coverage eligibility of disability claims and life waiver claims to provide accurate benefit start dates and other payment information to the assigned Disability Analyst.
• Obtain the required information to provide accurate calculations including manual complex calculations. Superior policy knowledge and interpretation.
