Join Canucks Autism Network as a Support Worker in our exciting Summer Programs designed to support children on the autism spectrum. Experience a rewarding environment fostering development and social skills.
Located at Lakeview Hall from July 13-17, our Support Workers play a crucial role in guiding children through engaging sports activities. You'll provide tailored support, adapting lessons to promote socialization and teamwork, all while ensuring a fun atmosphere for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver individualized support and encourage active learning
• Adapt lesson plans created by the Skills Coach
• Promote peer interaction and build friendships
• Help participants independently engage in activities
• Collaborate with the team and mentor volunteers
Requirements:
• Must be 16 years or older
• Experience with Autistic individuals beneficial
• Relevant education and first aid certification a plus
• Positive, motivated, and collaborative
