Job Description:
The Test Lab Engineer will work with customers in defining the test request, obtaining buy in from local management for cost, timing, material and headcount requirements. Responsibilities include but not limited to: The completion of corrosion vehicle teardowns and e-coat vehicle dissections. Instructing a team of technicians and co-op students in the teardown and dissection process documenting issues and concerns. Fixturing, testing and data collection related to Elastomeric based vehicle components. Various hydraulic and mechanical testing equipment will be designed and used to meet customer requests. Typical documentation will include extensive film thickness readings, metal loss readings and laser scanning of components as required.
