Environmental Services Operator

The Environmental Services Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the municipal water and wastewater treatment systems.

Location: Water Treatment Plant

Reporting To: Environmental Services Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate, and inspect water distribution and wastewater collection system assets
• Perform water quality and system tests and take corrective actions
• Perform operations and maintenance activities supporting the optimal operation of water and wastewater treatment plants
• Read flow meters, gauges, and other recording instruments to measure water output and consumption levels, turbidity content and chlorine levels
• Observe and record information related to pumps, valves, motors, and other water treatment equipment
• Maintain data logs and perform laboratory analysis including MOE regulatory compliance sampling and submission
