Estimator - Ventilation

Overview

Reporting to the Development Director, the estimator extracts complete data in order to obtain the right value. He/she works independently from the plumbing and/or ventilation plans and specifications while making technical recommendations to the team.

Responsibilities

• Master bid documents (plans, specifications and addenda) in order to perform data extraction and question the available information in order to make the proposals more competitive;
• Analyzes and validates the content of the bids from various suppliers and subcontractors;
• Make modifications to projects in progress (change notices);
• Attend site visits required by the calls for tenders (as needed);
• Any other task related to the position.

Qualifications

• College diploma in building mechanics or knowledge equivalent to a college level;
• Relevant experience in estimating, in the construction industry;
