Role Description
Longitudinal Family Practice (LFP) Payment Model
Northern Health is seeking a Family Physician with full-scope skills and experience, including emergency room coverage, to join a well-established Family Medicine clinic in Fort St. John, BC.
Job Responsibilities
- Clinic/office practice: 4 days per week (32 hours)
- Hospital inpatient work
- Emergency Room coverage: 8-hour shifts, up to 6 shifts per month
- Potential additional fee-for-service income through surgical assists, maternity, primary OB, advanced OB with C-section (if qualified), and outreach to nearby First Nations communities
Location
Fort St. John, BC. Fort St. John Hospital is a new 55‑bed facility with 123 beds of residential care, serving a population of about 25,000 with a catchment of approximately 70,000. The Emergency Room handles over 25,000 visits per year.
