Fitness to Practice Committee Member

Overview

The Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians Board of Directors is seeking a community volunteer to serve on the Fitness to Practice Committee. In accordance with the regulation policies of the association, the Committee hears and determines matters pertaining to complaints of members, including ordering outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a volunteer member on the Fitness to Practice Committee.
• Hear and determine matters pertaining to complaints of members, including issuing outcomes as appropriate.
• Coordinate with administrative support staff and outside legal counsel.
• Attend meetings and hearings, which may be conducted virtually or in person.
• Engage in email communication with committee members as required.
