Role Description
Join the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario as a Full-Time Day Camp Counsellor this summer. Engage with children while planning and delivering fun and enriching camp activities.
This role is based at various YMCA Day Camp locations, including Sudbury YMCA, Kivi Park, Walden Cross Country, Espanola, and Elliot Lake. As a Day Camp Counsellor, you're responsible for ensuring participant satisfaction through dynamic programming. You'll lead group games, crafts, and supervise outdoor activities while applying behavior management techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and lead daily camp programs including games and crafts
• Supervise and actively engage with participants during activities
• Apply techniques for behavior management with the children
• Communicate daily with all staff and parents
• Ensure safety for all participants and staff members
Requirements:
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma preferred
• Prior experience leading activities for children ages 3-1...
