Role Description
Position Overview
The Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) is seeking a General Pathologist (AP/CP) to complete our 4.8 FTE pathology team. Our group performs approximately 10,000 surgical pathology cases per year, 100 bone marrow biopsies, 500 cytopathology cases, and 50 autopsy cases, along with quality assurance activities and teaching to medical and laboratory students.
Responsibilities
- Performs surgical pathology, bone marrow biopsy, cytopathology, and autopsy examinations.
- Participates in quality assurance activities.
- Provides teaching to medical and laboratory students.
- Collaborates with local physicians and surgical community as consultants.
Qualifications
- Board certified in General Pathology.
- Experience in dermatology, breast, or gastrointestinal pathology is an asset.
