Role Description
Advance your career in geoscience as a Geologist-in-Training II at Vale Base Metals in Voisey’s Bay, Labrador. This role focuses on critical drilling operations and geoscience data collection.
As a permanent on-site member of the Mines Technical Services team, you will follow a 2-week on/2-week off rotation. Your main duties include overseeing underground drilling activities, participating in field data logging, and supporting QA/QC efforts. You will learn and contribute toward obtaining your professional accreditation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead underground definition drill programs and layouts
• Collect and log geoscience data from drill core samples
• Conduct QA/QC audits for geological integrity
• Perform weekly and monthly inspections of drilling areas
