Role Description
Become part of Halifax Regional Municipality as a Utility Operator 3. This permanent, full-time role entails diverse indoor and outdoor labor duties while ensuring public service excellence.
Working under the Infrastructure, Maintenance, and Operations team, you will operate various vehicles and tools necessary for daily tasks. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Safety awareness, flexibility, and organizational skills are crucial for this position, especially with Winter Works responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate multiple light vehicles including Kabota and motorized tampers
• Load and unload diverse equipment and materials
• Maintain equipment for optimal performance
• Assist colleagues across various classifications
• Participate in mandatory shift work during winter months
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or an equivalent combination of experience
• At least three years of relevant work experience
