Role Description
Drive workplace safety as a Health and Safety Coordinator specializing in risk management. Focus on OHS compliance and transform safety practices in the environmental services industry.
This position reports to the Health and Safety Manager, providing pivotal support and training to employees and supervisors. You will develop and maintain emergency response plans while coordinating safety audits and improving OHS implementations and culture throughout the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead promotion of safety policies and programs
• Support training and development for workforce competencies
• Conduct safety orientations and emergency training
• Manage incident reviews and root cause investigations
• Perform regular site visits and audits
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of industry-specific safety experience
• Familiarity with safety legislation in BC and Alberta
• Preference for NCSO certification
• Excellent communication skills
