Engage with health policy dynamics this summer as a Student at SLFNHA. Your role will focus on research and strategic planning for First Nations health initiatives.
This Summer Student position within the Strategic Policy, Planning, and Quality team centers on analyzing community and regional health policies. You’ll engage in ongoing evaluations of strategic plans while facilitating discussions on legislative impacts affecting First Nations health services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research provincial and federal health initiatives and impacts
• Analyze policy trends and provide actionable recommendations
• Draft and monitor strategic policies and proposals
• Communicate between government policies and First Nations’ strategies
• Explore funding opportunities through partnerships
Requirements:
• Must be of First Nations ancestry as preferred
• Knowledge of diverse cultural health priorities required
