Heavy Duty Mechanic

Overview

Our client, a large International Mining firm, is looking for several Heavy-Duty Mechanics to join their team at a mine in Northern Ontario. This is a camp-based role with a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all on-site mobile equipment (surface heavy equipment, underground equipment, and service vehicles).
• Operate as a self-starter, well organized and knowledgeable in all areas of preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• A Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic with a minimum of five (5) years of experience with heavy mining or construction equipment on surface or underground.
• Certified in Common Core for Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining would be an asset.
• Verbal and written proficiency of the English language.
