Heavy Equipment Operator (Infrastructure)

Role Overview

Reporting to the Site Services Supervisor, the Heavy Equipment Operator (Infrastructure) is responsible for storage area maintenance, equipment operation, and materials handling.

Primary Responsibilities

• Inspection of equipment before and after use to ensure proper functionality
• Loading, unloading, and moving materials to appropriate storage areas
• Excavation of trenches for buried services
• Following all safety procedures while operating equipment
• Performing regular maintenance (refuelling, fluid checks, lubrication) and minor repairs when necessary
• Reporting equipment issues, unusual conditions, and spillage immediately to Supervisor
• Staging materials to be brought down for Underground Operations
• Emptying garbage bins
• Maintaining good housekeeping at storage areas
• Snow removal during winter months
• Other activities as assigned
