Role Description
Enhance the spiritual growth of students at Edmonton Islamic Academy as a Secondary Islamic Studies Teacher. Engage students with lessons that promote a deep connection to Islam and positive character development.
This role invites educators to plan and deliver Islamic Studies lessons infused with principles of tarbiyah. You will teach key Islamic concepts while creating a welcoming and reflective classroom atmosphere. The ideal candidate should empower students to explore their faith through interactive learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate Islamic Studies content
• Teach key concepts, including Qur’an and Islamic manners
• Support students’ character development and spiritual growth
• Foster a warm, faith-centered classroom environment
• Collaborate on school initiatives promoting Islamic values
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies or education
• Teaching certification in Alberta is an asset
