Role Description
Be a vital part of the Town of Smithers as a Health and Safety Coordinator. This full-time role focuses on implementing health protocols and improving safety standards organization-wide.
In this position, you will report to the Director of Corporate Services and work closely with the Human Resources Advisor. As the Health and Safety Coordinator, you will lead initiatives to enhance health and safety standards and collaborate with different departments for effective safety strategies. Your contributions will help create a safer working environment for everyone.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Corporate Health and Safety Program
• Collaborate on departmental safety plans
• Evaluate and enhance existing safety protocols
• Facilitate safety training for staff
• Ensure legal compliance in safety practices
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
