Role Description

This is a full-time, in office position for a Junior Associate Lawyer at Bajwa Law Firm in Toronto, Ontario.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable junior lawyer with at least one year of criminal law experience, particularly experience handling bail matters and in-custody files. The successful candidate will work closely with senior counsel while also managing their own carriage of matters, including regular court appearances, client interaction, legal drafting, negotiations with Crown counsel, and litigation preparation.

This position is ideal for a lawyer looking to build strong courtroom experience in a fast‑paced criminal defence practice. The ideal candidate is organized, confident appearing before the court, able to work under pressure, and committed to providing high‑quality advocacy and client service.
