Role Description
Our Telecommunications group is looking to add Labourer(s) to our team in Castor, AB. Reports to the Foreman or Lead Hand. We seek experienced construction Labourers to help on underground FTTP and utility installations across Alberta.
Responsibilities
- Lay power cable, telecom pipe, and gas pipe in trenches up to 1.5m deep.
- Set telecom pedestals and precast bases; sand trenches and move material.
- Operate jumping‑jacks and other handheld or portable equipment.
- Operate skid steer and backhoe as needed safely on site.
- Read and understand construction drawings for specific tasks.
- Complete time sheets, vehicle pre‑trip inspections, and other required paperwork.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Experience in a team‑oriented construction environment.
- Valid Class‑5 driver’s license with an acceptable driver abstract.
