Work setting: Rehabilitation centre and special health institution.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications.
• Conduct specimen collection.
• Ensure infection control.
• Monitor nutritional intake.
• Take vital signs.
• Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
• Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Area of specialization: Mental health.
