Measurement Software Engineer (Toronto)

Position overview

We are seeking a Measurement Software Engineer to architect AX-Measure, the backbone of our autonomous lab. You will build the robust software layers that translate high‑level AI decisions into precise, low‑level hardware commands. Your code will control millions of dollars of equipment, handle terabytes of measurement data, and ensure that our self‑driver lab never crashes.

Responsibilities

• Build unified APIs that allow our AI agents to control diverse instruments (including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, SMUs, signal generators, lasers).
• Implement high‑concurrency execution engines to orchestrate parallel measurements across multiple wafer chucks or cryostats.
• Architect data pipelines and storage layer to ingest high‑frequency data streams efficiently and make them instantly queryable for the AI models.
