Role Description
Salary Information: $84.45- $110.47/hour

KEY FUNCTION
Provide scientific expertise to the North East Cancer Centre (NECC) through the application of physics to medicine. Develop and support major programs within the department of Medical Physics.
REPORTING
Under the general direction of the Chief Physicist & Manager, Medical Physics.
DUTIES
- Design, implement, and manage programs such as Quality Assurance, Education, Treatment Planning, Brachytherapy, and Radiation Protection.
- Participate in specification and selection of radiation treatment and medical physics equipment.
- Perform acceptance testing, commissioning, and calibration of equipment used for planning and delivery of radiation treatments.
- Design and implement quality assurance programs related to equipment, dosimetry, and treatment planning.
- Develop and maintain databases for treatment planning.
