Role Description
Provide exceptional nursing care in mental health as a Registered Nurse or Psychiatric Nurse. Deliver evidence-based care while emphasizing patient-centered strategies in psychiatric settings.
In this role, you will follow the professional nursing standards set by the regulatory body and apply your clinical expertise to support patients' recovery. You will conduct assessments, implement crisis interventions, and facilitate education for patients and families. Effective communication and teamwork are essential as you work alongside other healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement psychiatric nursing care tailored to patient needs
• Manage initial and ongoing mental health assessments
• Educate families about health and treatment options
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Supervise ECT procedures when relevant
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• Registration with BC College of Nurses required
