Millwork Estimator
Position Summary
The Millwork Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for custom architectural millwork projects. This role works closely with clients, project managers, designers, vendors, and production teams to analyze drawings, specifications, materials, labour, and installation requirements. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of millwork construction, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Prepare detailed estimates for custom millwork and cabinetry projects.
- Perform quantity take-offs for materials, hardware, finishes, and labour.
- Obtain and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Analyze project scope, risks, timelines, and constructability.
