Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
• Master’s degree in Nursing required, or other relevant master’s degree
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required
• Recent (within 2–3 years) experience in Infection Prevention and Control required
• Minimum of 2–4 years of recent (within 2–3 years) hospital clinical experience required
• Knowledge of current best practices, legislation, and reporting requirements related to Infection Prevention and Control
• Experience engaging with stakeholders and government agencies (e.g., Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC), Public Health Ontario (PHO)) and Infection Prevention and Control organizations (e.g., IPAC Canada, Provincial Infectious Diseases Advisory Committee (PIDAC)))
• Demonstrated proficiency in patient physical assessment required
