Overview
Nova Scotia Health is the largest provider of health services in Nova Scotia. This opportunity is for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the DI Nuclear Medicine (In Vivo) department, located at Central Zone, Halifax Infirmary Robie Street Entrance - QEII. This is a permanent full-time position (100% FTE) with 75 hours biweekly.
Responsibilities
- Under the remote supervision of the Manager, and working with the team, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares, dispenses, and administers radiopharmaceuticals to perform more than 70 nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures and therapies, effectively, efficiently, professionally, and ethically.
- Maintain ongoing quality assurance of radiopharmaceuticals, imaging equipment, and documentation as required by hospital accreditation, Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and Health Canada.
