Role Description
Become a vital part of Vancouver Coastal Health’s mission as a Mental Health and Substance Use Nurse. This role offers an opportunity to provide compassionate care to clients with severe mental disorders.
As a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will work within Segal Inpatient Mental Health units and the VGH Psychiatric Assessment Unit. Your focus will be on facilitating effective treatment through personalized care strategies, discharge planning, and collaboration with health care teams. You will be instrumental in improving the emotional well-being of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement individualized nursing care and case coordination
• Consult and collaborate on treatment plan evaluations
• Administer medications and monitor client responses
• Prepare thorough and accurate client documentation
