Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with other tradesmen and department staff.
• Apply various surface covering materials such as paint, varnish and wallpaper.
• Prepare surfaces by scraping, removing old paint and wallpaper, patching, sanding, and sealing.
• Perform drywall taping and finishing on all construction or renovations performed by department staff.
• Complete plaster repairs normally associated with a plasterer on renovations to plaster wall carried out by the department staff.
• Apply surface covering with brush, roller, or spray to achieve the time‑area standard.
