Part-Time Academic (SEASIDE 2026 BIOL 3633.03: Spatial Information and GIS in Ecology – Summer 2026)

The department is seeking a Part-Time Academic to co-teach BIOL/ENVS/GEOG/MARI “Spatial Information and GIS in Ecology” with another instructor. The course will be offered in the Summer session, April 29 – May 14, 2026, Monday through Sunday, approx. 0835-1625.

Working with another instructor the responsibilities include all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, labs, field trip planning, test preparation, and evaluation of tests and reports. Field trips in the class have included overnight camping trips. Together, the two instructors will also be responsible for preparing a budget in consultation with the program director and keeping related expenses within this budget; and evaluation of student work, including the project presentations.
