Role Description
Bishop’s University is actively hiring a part-time Counsellor in Residence, offering flexible hours and a focus on student mental health. Support students through counselling, crisis intervention, and education.
In this regular part-time position (25 hours per week), you will report to the Manager of Student Services and provide both individual and group counselling. Your role includes promoting resources, offering crisis support, and contributing to the Residence Life Team. This position aims to enhance the overall student experience within residential life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide short-term, solution-focused counselling sessions
• Conduct weekly drop-in counselling for students in residence
• Promote campus and off-campus mental health resources
• Provide on-call psychosocial support with the team
• Develop and facilitate psycho-educational workshops
