Summary of Duties

The Physiotherapist is responsible for carrying out professional assessments and treatment programs in the outpatient treatment areas. The main clinical area of focus are individuals that have had burn and trauma injuries, other populations including, limb loss, neurological/stroke, complex care, oncology, and / or musculoskeletal conditions. Broad ranges of treatment techniques are utilized to alleviate pain and restore movement, strength and function according to rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform subjective and objective patient assessments to identify clinical problems and patient goals.
2. Based on the analysis of examination findings, select and implement a treatment program that is coordinated with the interdisciplinary team to achieve the client/patient's rehabilitation goals.
3. Manage a patient caseload in relation to the referral base.
