Position Summary

A study of the politics and government of Mexico focusing on the political system in the context of history and culture. The course examines how colonial patterns influence current challenges like democracy building, poverty and inequality, gender issues, and security. The study of Mexico’s relations with the United States with respect to security, borders, and trade will also be discussed.
