Role Description
Elevate operations as a Process Control Engineer with St Barbara at the Touquoy mine near Halifax, Nova Scotia. This full-time position focuses on PLC programming, safety, and innovative plant processes.
St Barbara is seeking a dedicated Process Control Engineer to support Atlantic Operations. In this role, you will report to the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for implementing regulations, troubleshooting mill shutdowns, and enhancing plant performance. A strong background in PLC and SCADA systems, as well as advanced diagnostic capabilities, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Apply regulations and site standards to maintenance activities
• Program PLCs and SCADA/HMI systems for optimized processes
• Provide technical specifications and diagnostic information
• Identify safety issues and foster a safe work culture
• Input into maintenance planning for electrical tasks

• Licensed P.Eng or EIT with Engineers Nova Scotia
